Hi, I'm Mark

What does it mean to “empower lives through real estate?”

Owning real estate is laying the foundation for your financial future while also setting the tone of your personal lifestyle. You are also setting the course for your future generations.

It  can also mean wealth-building through real estate. As an investor-friendly realtor, I own and manage properties that supplement my income and provide me with future stability. You can build equity with your property’s appreciation and/or rental income, while not paying a single penny from your pocket. The American dream is not just buying the home with the white picket fence, but also taking control of your own future lifestyle.

I became a realtor to make a positive impact on people’s lives.

Before going into real estate I was a nuclear medicine technologist (Yes, I had to take a nuclear physics class). I interacted specifically with cancer patients while they were at their most vulnerable, and made them comfortable by listening and giving the best care possible. I carry that same level of compassion and level of detail into real estate to help people that are making their largest purchase/investment of their life to achieve their American dream.

My parents were both the first from their respective families to emigrate to the United States in search of the American dream in the land of opportunity. They started by renting, and before I was born they realized they could take control of their future by buying a 4 unit building. (How did they figure this out without the internet?) They figured out that having 3 renters offsetting their mortgage means they could essentially live with little to no extra money coming from their pocket to pay the mortgage.

As I was raised in the building I saw my parents deal with tenants, make some major repairs, and some small ones. But they always had a goal for their building whether it was paying for college or using some of the equity they built to make necessary upgrades, they knew they wanted to secure their future and supplement their retirement with this building. To this day they are both living comfortably knowing they have this supplemental income into their golden years.

Even though my parents did not directly talk to me about what they were doing when I was young, I was around them to absorb this knowledge and experience. And now I want to share that knowledge with you.

I have been involved with every type of real estate transaction.

From fixing and flipping homes purchased from the foreclosure auction, to owning multiple investment properties, and just recently I developed a mixed use building. Having that direct experience and being able to navigate the possible speed bumps along the way is why you should choose me to be your trusted advisor. I saw how my parents’ lives have been transformed by real estate, and now I see how real estate is allowing me to control my future. What I want to do is help you by using real estate to make a difference in your life.

Real estate will be the most important investment you will make in your lifetime. So I make sure I am there for my clients every step of the way, and even years beyond. With me you are a client for life.

More things about me

I have always enjoyed the outdoors. I can usually be found hiking out in nature with my wife and Archer, our rescue dog. (Did you know that a “non-kill shelter” only applies when they have space for animals? Ask me how I know.)

I was given some really good advice when it came to traveling, “go see the world while you are still able to without any type of assistance. The United States is ADA friendly so you can save it for when you are older in life.”

I used to be an avid endurance event participant doing events that last between 12-24 hours, but right now, my passion is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). I currently train at Uflacker Academy, and I have a purple belt. BJJ is a great way to get in shape and learn useful self-defense and meet some really cool people that also like to challenge themselves.

Here are the facts. Can you spot the lie?

  • I once was a telemarketer for Hustler and Playboy magazines.
  • I once was the only adult in a breaking dancing class full of 10-year-olds.
  • I once shoveled llama manure as a summer job.
  • I once worked at the “softer side of Sears.”

Gotcha!! They are ALL true . . . and yes I stayed until the break dance class ended!
